OPINION

RICHMOND, Chief Judge.

This appeal involves interpretation of two separate policies of professional liability insurance issued in California to a Bakersfield law firm, Chain, Younger, Cooney, Jame-son, Lemucchi and Busacca. Plaintiff Jack Nethers in his action for legal malpractice joined as defendants the two insurers, Reserve Insurance Company and Mission Insurance Company, and sought a declaration of rights under their respective policies.
