— This controversy involves the rights of the various claimants to the waters of a stream-known as Hunter creek. The stream is in the south western part of Stevens county. It has its source in the highlands lying between the Colville valley and the basin of the Columbia river, from whence it flows in a westerly direction into the river named. The last ten miles of its course is through a valley of varying width, containing some 1,040 acres of land capable of irrigation from the stream.
