-The appellant sued the appellee for damages for slander. The complaint in substance alleges that, while plaintiff was the duly qualified and acting county recorder of Pima county, Arizona, and while in his office in Tucson in said county, on June 23, 1921, the defendant came to such office, and to the place where plaintiff was seated at his desk, and-in the presence of the employees of the office (four *554in number) and many other persons, -willfully and maliciously spoke to, of and concerning the plaintiff the following false and defamatory words:

“You are the most ignorant and incompetent…
