A voluminous record is presented upon this appeal, and a short statement of the background of this controversy may assist in understanding the legal problems presented.

At the times in question, plaintiff was president of the Wisconsin Co-operative Milk Pool. He was a farmer, thirty-eight years of age, living at Shiocton, Wisconsin. He joined the Wisconsin Co-operative Milk Pool as a member on February 17, 1932, and was elected its president in June of that year.
