On January 15, 2010, defendant-intervenors, the official proponents of Proposition 8 (“proponents”) moved to compel production of documents from three nonparties: Californians Against Eliminating Basic Rights (“CAEBR”), Equality California and No on Proposition 8, Campaign for Marriage Equality, A Project of the American Civil Liberties Union (the “ACLU”) (collectively the “No on 8 groups”).
