MacLAUGHLIN, District Judge.

This matter is before the Court on defendants’ motion to dismiss and for an award of attorneys’ fees and costs.

FACTS

This is an action for damages brought by plaintiff Leon Rice against defendant Target Stores, Inc. (Target), his former employer, and Michael Schmidt, his former supervisor. Plaintiff alleges that defendants unlawfully terminated his employment on the basis of his race in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 42 U.S.C. § 2000e et seq.; 42 U.S.C. § 1981; and the Minnesota Human Rights Act, Minn.Stat. § 363.01 et…
