The general object of the bill filed in this cause was to have an account and settlement of a partnership concern, which had existed between Justin and Elias Lyman for twenty-five years and upwards, the transactions of which have-been very extended and multifarious, and are involved in great obscurity for the want, of proper books- and accounts with respect to some part of the concerns, and, indeed, an entire want of any accounts as to some matters which have been drawn under examination; and all this .embarrassment much increased by the want of any articles of…
