OPINION OF THE COURT

CHAGARES, Circuit Judge.

David Cox and Karen Cox, husband and wife, appeal from the District Court’s grant of summary judgment to Wal-Mart Stores East, L.P. (Wal-Mart). We will affirm.

I

Because we write solely for the benefit of the parties, we will only briefly summarize the essential facts.

On July 29, 2005, while shopping at a Philadelphia-area Wal-Mart store, plaintiff David Cox slipped on a small patch of oil on the floor of an aisle in the store’s automotive department. On the shelves above where David Cox slipped, Wal-Mart stocked five-gallon containers of motor oil.…
