This action is brought by the plaintiff to recover the sum of $318.38 from the defendants under section 71 of the Stock Corporation Law of 1923, which reads as follows:

“ Liabilities of stockholders to laborers, servants or employees. The stockholders of every stock corporation shall jointly and severally be personally liable for all debts due and owing to any of its laborers, servants or employees other than contractors, for services performed *815by them for such corporation.
