This controversy concerns a claim against the estate of John E. Humphrey, deceased, based upon two promissory notes for $7,000 and $3,000, respectively. Claimants are the two unmarried sisters of decedent, and at the time of the trial were aged 68 and 61 years, respectively. The family was Welsh, having moved to this country a few years after the birth of Winifred, the elder of the claimants.
