The Sawmill Company, hereafter called the plaintiff, brought this action against the St. Louis, Iron Mountain & Southern Railway Company and the Missouri Pacific Railway Company, hereafter called defendants, to recover the sum of $583.27, and interest thereon at 6 per cent, from September 1, 1911, being the amount of an award of damages allowed by the Interstate Commerce Commission, hereafter called Commission, for unjust and unreasonable freight rates paid by the plaintiff on cypress lumber in carloads from Little Rock and Woodson, Ark., to points in Oklahoma, Kansas,…
