Objections are made by certain property owners to assessments for benefit in this proceeding on the ground that the “ block by block ” method was followed, but that another method ought to have been followed, which would result in relieving the objectors’ property of a portion of the assessments for benefit and throw that portion upon certain other sections of the street, where, owing to the fact that the abutting owners ceded the land in the bed of the street under section 992 of the Greater New York Charter, the assessments for benefit were very light.
