This case comes to us by certification from the Appellate Department of the Los Angeles County Superior Court following its decision affirming a judgment of the Municipal Court of the Los Angeles Judicial District wMch found appellants guilty on four counts of a complaint charging violations of section 212, subdivision (a) of the Labor Code. This section provides:
