The defendant, Terrell Jackson, appeals from his judgment of conviction by a juiy for the murder of the victim, Darryl Luckes, in violation of General Statutes § 53a-54a (a).1 Following his convic*200tion, the defendant was sentenced to a term of imprisonment of fifty years.
