This is an appeal from amended judgments of conviction modifying appellant’s sentences.

On June 9, 1988, appellant entered guilty pleas to two counts of burglary in District Court Case Nos. C82921 and C82931. In return for the guilty pleas, the State agreed to dismiss seventeen additional counts of burglary then pending against appellant. Further, the State indicated that it would seek a determination from the district court that appellant was a habitual criminal based on three prior felony convictions, and would argue for consecutive life sentences as a result…
