This was an action brought _by Samuel Idartman against the Central Coal & Coke Company and several other corporations for three times the damages which he claimed that the defendants had inflicted upon his business by their violation of the inhibitions of the act to protect trade against unlawful- combinations and monopolies, commonly called the “Sherman Anti-Trust Law” (26 Stat. 209, c. 647).
