This matter arises out of a consolidated class action suit seeking injunctive’ and monetary relief in connection with the sale of Coumadin, the brand name for the prescription drug warfarin sodium manufactured and marketed by the DuPont Pharmaceuticals Company (“DuPont”). 1 Plaintiffs allege that DuPont’s anticompet-itive behavior and dissemination of false and misleading information about a lower-priced, readily available generic competitor caused them to purchase the higher-priced Coumadin instead of the generic product.
