KENNETT, Judge:

This case has a long and often reported history. Appellant was originally convicted of several drug-related offenses. His conviction was affirmed by this court, United States v. Goodson, 14 M.J. 542 (A.C.M.R.1982), and then by the United States Court of Military Appeals, United States v. Goodson, 18 M.J. 243 (C.M.A.1984). Thereafter, appellant petitioned the United States Supreme Court for writ of certiorari.
