MEMORANDUM

LEGG, District Judge.

On July 1, 1994, following a trial, a jury convicted Boysie Mahabir under both counts of an indictment charging him with conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute cocaine (Count I) 1 and possession with intent to distribute cocaine (Count II). 2 Sentencing has been scheduled for September 8,1994. Mahabir has asked the Court to continue him on bail pending imposition of sentence. 3 The government objects, contending that Mahabir should be detained.
