This adversary proceeding is one among 200-plus commenced by the Plaintiff, in his capacity as trustee in the bankruptcy cases of Debtors Petters Company, Inc. (“PCI”), Petters Group Worldwide, LLC, and their related entities. It is part of a so-called “clawback” effort, undertaken to redress what is alleged to have been a large-scale Ponzi scheme that left 3.5 billion dollars or more in unsatisfied creditors’ claims after its collapse.
