It appears from the pleadings and evidence in this case that one M. M. Welch on the 18th of April, 1900, became a member of the order of “The Woodmen of the World/’ a fraternal beneficiary association, and on the-23rd day of April 1900, a beneficiary certificate was issued and delivered to said M. M. Welch by said association for the sum of $1,000, made payable to the plaintiff herein, the then wife of the said M. M. Welch. An the 19th of October, 1901, said M. M. Welch died at the town of Leger, in Greer county, O. T.
