Reuben H. Laf Ferry, appellee, hereinafter called plaintiff, brought this action in the district court for Dawes county against the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad Company, appellant, hereinafter called defendant, to recover $20,000 for certain personal injuries sustained while in defendant’s employ.
