This appeal arises from a personal injury action brought by appellant Jacqueline Brown against the two appellees, 1301 K Street Limited Partnership (“1301 K Street”) and Hines Interests Limited Partnership (“Hines”). Ms. Brown alleged in her complaint that appellees were liable for injuries she sustained when she slipped on a wet floor while working as a security guard in a building owned by 1301 K Street and managed by Hines.
