This was an action to recover on a promissory note which the plaintiff alleged it had acquired in due course. The note with its indorsements reads:

*797“$750.00. Macksville, Kansas, Oct. 15th, 1921.
“On or before Oct. 15th, 1923, after date I, we, or either of us, promise to pay to the order of J. B. English

Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars,

at the Macksville State Bank, Macksville, Kansas, for value received, with interest at 7 per cent per annum after date until paid. It is understood that the time of payment of this note may be extended any number of…
