The action is for a declaratory judgment brought by the district supervising attendance officers employed by the defendant in its bureau of compulsory education, school census and child welfare. The object of the suit was to obtain an adjudication to the effect that the law requires that the salary schedule of the board of education, for district supervising attendance officers, shall prescribe salaries and increments not less than those prescribed in the defendant’s concurrent salary schedule for assistants to principal in day elementary schools.
