Pending before the court is the Common Benefit Fee and Cost Committee's ("FCC") Petition for an Award of Common Benefit Attorneys' Fees and Expenses ("Petition").1 [ECF No. 673 ]. In the Petition, the FCC asks the court to grant an award of attorneys' fees and expenses in the amount of 5% of the settlements and judgments subject to the court's ordered common benefit assessment. Following a period for objections, three plaintiffs' firms filed objections to the FCC's Petition, and the FCC replied. The Petition is ripe for consideration because…
