On September 6, 1976 prior to the commencement of the 1976 school year and in expectation of a strike by defendant, Buffalo Teachers Federation (BTF), plaintiff obtained an order directing defendants, BTF, Thomas Pisa, individually and as president of the BTF, and certain unnamed members of the BTF, to show cause why a preliminary injunction should not be issued enjoining defendants from, inter alia, causing, encouraging, authorizing or continuing a strike against plaintiff.
