Plaintiff Christine Wooley commenced this action against Madison County, Tennessee, her former employer, and Lacy Bond, individually and in his official capacity as Clerk of Madison County Juvenile Court, in the Circuit Court of Madison County, Tennessee on October 30, 2000. 1 On July 17, 2001, defendants removed this case to federal court. Wooley asserts a cause of action under 42 U.S.C. § 1983 for violation of her rights under the First Amendment to the United States Constitution.…
