The Hillsboro Manor Nursing Home in El Dorado was formerly owned by the Reynolds family. Mr. and Mrs. Reynolds were the sole stockholders in the nursing home, and their son, John Reynolds, became the administrator of the facility in 1979. Reynolds purchased the nursing home from his parents in 1991, and in 1992, he decided to expand the nursing home. However, he needed additional capital, so he approached Dr. James Sheppard, who expressed interest.
