Petitioner, Ronald J. Hackett, appeals from the denial of his petition for a writ of habeas corpus filed under 28 U.S.C. § 2241. Petitioner filed his pro se petition seeking to challenge the presumptive parole date imposed by the United States Parole Commission. Petitioner contends that the Commission improperly set the release date outside the range established under the recommended parole guidelines and that the Commission erred by relying on evidence which was not produced at trial and was specifically rejected by the sentencing judge.
