OPINION

DORSEY, Justice.

Union Carbide Corporation appeals from a judgment, following a jury verdict, awarding Delia Mayfield damages for his suit for discrimination under the Texas Commission on Human Rights Act (the TCHRA). 2 Carbide appeals by ten issues. We reverse and render.

I. Factual BackgROund

For his entire life Delia Mayfield suffered from extreme pes planus or flat-footedness in both feet. This condition caused him chronic intermittent foot pain. He served as a combat medic in the U.S. Army but was honorably discharged because of his flat feet. Afterwards he became a paramedic and…
