11 Appellant Jeremy Clay Thompson appeals the order of the Saline County Circuit Court convicting him of the offense of failure to appear, a Class C felony, and sentencing him to a term of imprisonment of seven years. On appeal, he argues that the circuit court erred in denying his motion for a directed verdict because there was insufficient evidence to support his conviction because he had not yet been charged with a crime when he failed to appear.
