I. Introduction.
Harrold Wright and Don Kennard hired Michael Sydow and Verner, Liipfert, Bern-hard Mcpherson & Hand, Chartered to represent them in qui tam 1 litigation. Wright and Kennard anticipated reaping a great deal of money from the suits and Sydow and Verner, Liipfert were given an interest in any proceeds they obtained. But, less than a year after their relationship began, it soured, leaving Wright and Kennard crying foul and attempting to avoid the preclusive effects of a settlement agreement by secretly assigning causes of action days before they…
