*530 ¶ 1 At issue in this appeal is whether sections 2-109 and 2-201 of the Local Governmental and Governmental Employees Tort Immunity Act (Act) ( 745 ILCS 10/2-109, 2-201 (West 2012) ), apply to a city's failure to repair a sidewalk defect. The plaintiff in this case filed suit against the City of Danville (City) to recover for her injuries from tripping and falling on an uneven seam in a sidewalk.
