The accused, a civilian, was tried by a general court-martial sitting in Japan for the commission of a great number of offenses. As a result of the findings by the court and the action of the convening authority, however, he stands convicted of only two offenses, i.e., larceny, in violation of Article 121, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 USC § 921, and wrongful evasion of Japanese customs duties, in violation of Article 134, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 USC § 934.
