DELAHANTY, Justice.

On January 21, 1974, appellant Otis Bowen (Bowen) suffered a trimaleolar fracture of his ankle in the course of his employment for Maplewood Packing Company, Inc. (Maplewood). The parties entered into a compensation agreement on February 4, 1974 pursuant to which Bowen received payment for total incapacity from the date of the accident. On May 21, 1974 Maplewood and its insurance carrier, Liberty Mutual (Liberty), filed a petition for review of incapacity. A hearing was held on October 8, 1974.
