Appeal from a judgment of the County Court of Ulster County (Williams, J.), rendered June 20, 2012, convicting defendant upon his plea of guilty of the crime of assault in the second degree (two counts).
Defendant was charged in an indictment with two counts of assault in the first degree and two counts of assault in the second degree, arising from an incident in July 2011 during which his codefendants shot into a crowd with a shotgun and a rifle and seriously injured two people.
