Second degree manslaughter; sentence: twelve months imprisonment at hard labor for Cullman County and a fine of one cent.

On August 10, 1979, Dwight Allen Evans's tractor-trailer truck collided with a car driven by Carey Brett Weeks. The collision took place on U.S. Highway 278 East in Cullman County at the intersection of College Hill Drive. Evans was subsequently indicted for first degree manslaughter.
