The action is for divorce on the ground of desertion alleged- to have taken place about July, 1899. The default of defendant was duly entered, and service of summons was had by publication. The court found the following facts: That plaintiff and defendant were married in the city of New York, state of New York, on May 19, 1899; that plaintiff is now and had been for more than four months prior to the commencement of the action a resident of the county of Los Angeles, this state, but had not been such resident for one year prior to the commencement of the action; that defendant did…
