DE HAVEN, District Judge.
This is an action in equity brought by a great number of resident aliens, subjects of the Empire of China, against John P. Jackson, as collector of customs at the port of San Francisco, in which the court is asked to enjoin the defendant from proceeding to destroy a large quantity of tea imported by the complainants.
