This strict product liability action, which arises from a one-car accident in Washington, D.C., comes before this court for the second time. In Siegel v. Mazda Motor Corp. (Siegel I), 835 F.2d 1475 (D.C.Cir.1987), we vacated the district court’s denial of defendant Mazda’s motion for judgment notwithstanding the verdict, and remanded *334the case for reconsideration.
