On September 30, 1922, respondents instituted suit on two notes signed by the appellants Strelau, both dated at Seattle, Washington, December 18, 1920; one for $4,000, due one year after date with interest at six per cent per annum from date, to be paid annually, and if not so paid to become imme*129diately due and collectible at the option of the holder of the note. The second, for $5,875, due two years after date, with interest at six per cent per annum, with like provision for collection for non-payment of principal and interest as the $4,000 note.
