*887 This case asks us to decide what impact, if any, revelations of systematic concerns with the District of Columbia Department of Forensic Sciences' interpretations of DNA test results had on appellant Tavon Barber's trial, in which the government presented DNA evidence to prove his involvement. Following a jury trial, appellant was convicted of numerous charges stemming from his participation in two burglaries and a sexual assault.
