The plaintiff, the Equitable Life Assurance Society, sometimes called herein the insurer. or Society, is a corporation organized in the State of New York, and was at the time of the commencement of this suit, and has been since, licensed to do business in the State of Wyoming, and judging from the allegations in the petition, transacted a large amount of business therein. This action was brought to enjoin the State Insurance Commissioner of this state from revoking such license, which the commissioner threatened to do on October 31, 1931, unless the plaintiff paid a tax of 2 %%…
