Roden appeals from his conviction and sentence for the offense of selling marijuana on May 20, 1984, in violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act, OCGA § 16-13-30.

Viewed in a light most favorable to the verdict, Wallace v. State, 178 Ga. App. 876 (344 SE2d 770) (1986), the circumstances giving rise to Roden’s arrest were these: An eight-month undercover drug operation began in Walker County in August 1983.
