The petition alleged that the plaintiff was the administra-trix of the estate of the deceased husband who was killed in a collision between a Chevrolet truck being operated by him on the night of August 8, 1947, at about 10:30 p.m., approximately 1.6 miles north of Adair, Oklahoma, on U. S. Highway 69; that the deceased was 26 years of age and earning from $240 to $300 per month and was then engaged in driving his Chevrolet truck at such place from a trip delivering watermelons to some place in Kansas and was returning home, his residence being in Texas, where his family was residing.
