Appellant was tried and convicted in the City Court of Salt Lake City for a violation of Section 1379, Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City 1984, which prohibits driving an automobile while under the influence of intoxicating liquor. On appeal to the Third Judicial District Court a trial de novo was held and defendant found guilty and again sentenced.
