This was a suit in equity brought in the Circivit Court of Logan county, "W. Va., by Jacob Smith against James O’Keelfe and Samuel Walton. The plaintiff in his bill alleges: On the 22nd day of June in the year 1877, one George Hatfield was seised and possessed in fee of a certain tract of land situated in said county of Logan, on Mates creek, containing live hundred acres,.more or less, and on that day said George Hatfield, together with C.
