The issues in this appeal are whether a motion to open a judgment and set aside the verdict following the rejection of a court-ordered additur is an appealable final judgment, and whether pursuant to General Statutes § 52-2281), 1 a trial court may set aside *172the jury verdict and order a new trial after a plaintiff rejects a court-ordered additur.
