Plaintiff Elaine Rascón brought this action on behalf of her deceased husband, David Rascón, under 42 U.S.C. § 1983, alleging that the actions of certain county correctional institution guards in subduing her husband and the policies promulgated and implemented by the Director of Corrections violated his constitutional rights. Trial was held before a jury, which found for the plaintiff and against all defendants.
